Wale Akinyemi is an organizational culture change and leadership consultant based in Nairobi, Kenya. He has developed a unique style of transforming organizations and leaders by helping them see around the curve, create the right customer experiences, and tell the right stories.
He believes that Customer Experience starts internally with the right culture and is then expressed externally to customers. He believes and has proved it in many organizations that Customer Experience is the most cost efficient way to increase the performance of any organization. He has written extensively on this.
He has led transformation initiatives for some of the world’s largest Fortune 500 corporations and his work has spanned across 22 African nations and different continents. Throughout his three-decade career, he has had the privilege of working with organizations such as Google, Oracle, Absa, Coca-Cola, and many others.
Additionally, he has served as an advisor and coach for numerous top government and business leaders including serving as a special adviser to the Chairman of the Kenya Independent Elections Boundaries Commission. He has also worked as a consultant for the Tony Blair Institute, the United Nations as well as the Supreme Court of Kenya among many others.
As a facilitator for the Kenya School of Government, he taught transformational leadership at the Strategic Leadership Development Program designed for the highest echelon of the Kenyan government. Wale Akinyemi is a preferred choice when organizations seek deep conversations with their boards and leadership teams. He also assists leaders in branding themselves for their roles and leaving a lasting legacy. He is a published author with 22 books on leadership and transformation to his credit. Some of his books include the best selling “The Experience: From Customer To Ambassador”. He also developed the Addictive Customer Experience (ACE) Index which is a tool for measuring the efficacy of Customer Experience in Organizations.
His one-on-one coaching program, “Re-Imagine Yourself,” has attracted leaders from around the globe and many of his students have gone on to become CEO’s, Cabinet Secretaries, Governors and other top leadership functions across the continent.
Furthermore, Wale Akinyemi is a widely read newspaper columnist in East Africa and the Founder of the Street University, where where young entrepreneurs are being trained, funded and launched into their dreams.
